Stephen Beneck, MD, FAAPMR
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
“A serious hand injury while playing college sports helped me to understand the positive influence a caring physician can have on someone’s life. I decided to combine my scientific academic interests with my desire to help others as I was helped, and made medicine my life’s work. My ultimate goal is returning you to normal function so that you can get back to living your life as you want.
I have a strong background in athletics, and I exercise regularly. Proper exercise is a crucial part of recovery from any injury and promotes overall good health and well-being. I encourage my patients to incorporate as much physical activity as possible into their daily routine.
My belief in the benefits of physical medicine and rehabilitation compelled me to do all I could to get specialized training. I completed a one-year fellowship focused solely on sports medicine and the spine, and I am diligent in my continuing education. Over the past decade, I’ve attended conferences, seminars, and annual meetings on topics related to the advanced treatment of spinal and musculoskeletal injury. Staying current with the developments in my field enables me to provide my patients with the best care possible.”
