They focus on finding the root of the pain a patient may be experiencing to create a treatment plan for each individual. Physiatrists work with many other doctors to help patients find relief.

Interventional Pain Management
A Pain Management Anesthesiologist is a medical doctor that completed a fellowship training in pain management and is Board Certified in Anesthesiology. They treat patients by administering complex injections using fluoroscopic guidance to help minimize pain to the patient. Their treatments can be used along with additional treatment options to improve both neurological and musculoskeletal problems.
Psychologist/Pain Management Counseling
A Psychologist/Pain Management Counselor works with patients who have sustained acute injuries or who are living with chronic pain conditions by helping patients learn more adaptive ways of coping with their physical pain, work through the emotional impact their physical condition may have on their everyday living, and maximize their responses to the challenges of the recovery process. Using cognitive and behavioral strategies to help reduce the experience of both physical pain and emotional trauma that often come with physical injuries, the Psychologist/Pain Management Counselor can teach patients how to address their feelings of fear, anger, sadness, and frustration.
